Обработка результатов осуществляется по восьми шкалам, каждая из которых соответствует отдельному защитному механизму (отрицание, регрессия, подавление, компенсация, проекция, замещение, рационализация, реактивные образования). Подсчет баллов по каждой шкале осуществляется путем суммирования положительных ответов на вопросы, указанные в ключе.

The book represents the results of a complex research which has been carried out by the Institute of Humanitarian Education, the Academy of Law and the Head Offkc of the Federal Department of Punishment Execution. For the first time, modern terrorism in all its variations is considered to he an ethnoreligious phenomenon. The book contains unique empirical data resulted from the study of convicted criminals serving time in places of imprisonment. For this purpose conversations, psychological tests and sociological questionnaires were used. Special attention is paid to the reasons of ethnoreligious terrorism: a series of measures of its prevention is submitted.
The book has no analogues in Russian scholarly literature and is addressed to employees of law enforcement bodies, scientists, lecturers, post-and under-graduate students — to everyone concerned with terrorism in today's world, endeavors to understand the reasons and opportunities of struggle against it.
